Immanuel's Mission

The mission of Immanuel Lutheran Church is to vigorously make known the love of God by word and deed within our congregation, our community, and the world. In grateful response to God's grace and empowered by the Holy Spirit through Word and Sacraments, Immanuel strengthens and equips God's people to develop a mature and vibrant relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

 

Our Vision

The vision of Immanuel Lutheran Church is to increase outreach into the community through a variety of programs for spiritual, emotional, mental, physical, and social needs, thereby ministering to the total being; to welcome and embrace all into the fellowship of the kingdom of believers; to educate God's people through the various ministries; and to inspire and strengthen each member's relationship and commitment to their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Operating Philosophy

As members of God's Kingdom, we come before Him in all humility, we mourn over our sin, we submit in meekness to his control and direction of our lives, and we strive to mature in our Christian faith. As members of Immanuel Lutheran Church and of society we seek to show mercy to one another, as God has been merciful to us, we seek purity of heart, we work toward living at peace with all people, and, when necessary, we will endure injustice for the sake of the Kingdom of God.

Six Major Themes

1. Continue our commitment to being a strong biblically based Church that encourages our members to grow spiritually

2. Commit to having our youth ministry as a primary ministry of Immanuel.

3. Enhance the capacity for Lay and Professional Leadership to pro-vide robust ministry and mission (non-school) programs.

4. Strengthen and continue to grow the School Ministry within the Church

5. Tell the Love of Christ to the Un-Churched in the Pikes Peak Area

6. Commit to having a variety of Christian-life programs for people of all ages
